Our family emergency guide

Everything here works offline and prints cleanly. Read it calmly now, so it is familiar when it matters. Start with My Plan and the go-bag checklist.

Start anywhere. Each section takes about 15 minutes to read.

How to use this guide

  1. Open every page once while online. After that, the whole site works with no internet — the pages are stored on your phone. (Opening the home page installs everything automatically.)
  2. Add it to your home screen. On iPhone: Share button → “Add to Home Screen”. On Android: browser menu → “Add to Home screen” or “Install”. It then opens like an app, even offline.
  3. Fill in My Plan together. Ten minutes with the whole family: phone numbers, meeting points, the out-of-area contact.
  4. Build the kits. Work through the checklists over a few weekends. A half-finished go-bag still beats no go-bag.
  5. Print the essentials. Print the Emergency page, your plan, and the checklists. Paper needs no battery. Keep copies in the go-bags.
  6. Practice twice a year. Walk the evacuation routes, test the meeting points, taste the stored food, refresh the water.

About this guide

This is a private educational guide for one family, written in plain language from mainstream safety guidance (Red Cross, WHO, and civil-defence style advice). It collects no data, has no accounts, and makes no internet requests after the first visit. Everything you type stays on your own device.

It is not a substitute for professionals. If emergency services are reachable, call them first. If a doctor is reachable, ask the doctor. This guide is for when help is delayed, or to make you a better helper while waiting.
